Choc orange energy balls

 

If you’re a fan of chocolate orange, you’ll love these choc orange energy balls to fuel your training sessions.

Choc orange energy balls

(Makes 10 balls)

Ingredients 

  • 100g almonds

  • 100g dates

  • 30g sultanas

  • 1-2 tsp cocoa powder

  • Rind of 1 orange

  • 1-2 tsp orange juice

Method

  1. Blitz all ingredients together in a food processor or blender until an even consistency is obtained.

  2. If using a blender (eg Nutribullet) grind the nuts to a powder first, then add the dried fruit.

  3. If the mixture isn’t binding together well, add a tsp of the orange juice slowly until balls can be formed.

  4. Roll into balls

  5. Store in the fridge/freezer in an airtight container.

Nutrition per ball (as per recipe): 96kcal, 5g fat, 10g carbohydrate, 2.5g protein, 1.2g fibre
